COLLECTIVE BEHAVIOR

This course helps in understanding the nature of collective behaviors particualrly destructive and maladaptive for larger community and society. Group at collective levels lynching, riots, genocide, and wars and individual behaviors that manifest with common underlying causes - e.g. prejudice, discrimination, protests etc. Theoretical underpinnings of such collective behaviors. We will also explore the ideas of collective mind, its emergence and significance in shaping collective behavior
